Additional Details

From Happy Go Lucky, the bronze burro children ride when they enter the Leanin’ Tree garden, to the life-size, wild Wolf Pack (lot 505) that studies and howls in the trees, Veryl Goodnight’s emotional sculptures seem to be channeling her ancestor, Texas cattleman and ranger Charley Goodnight, who drove 2,000 cattle from Texas to New Mexico in 1866. This lot is illustrated in The Story of Leanin’ Tree on page 474 A copy of the book will accompany this lot
