Additional Details

Richard Greeves has danced to his own bronze drummer for decades and interest in Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery has inspired his work throughout his career. In the monumental Bird Woman (Sacajawea), Greeves finds beauty in Sacajawea’s resolve, showing that the journey to the Pacific was accomplished step by step, hardship by triumph, there and back. This lot is illustrated in The Story of Leanin’ Tree on page 476. A copy of the book will accompany this lot
