Additional Details

Jack Lee McLean painted the Canadian and American West for over fifty years. As his family, in a website devoted to his work, writes, he “invites you into his paintings to become part of the West—taking a journey through his true-to-life landscapes with the cowboy, the Indian, the packer, and his trademark, the work horse.” McLean was an avid hiker and skier and often said that the Rockies were his real studio. This lot is illustrated in The Story of Leanin' Tree on page 340. A copy of the Leanin’ Tree greeting card that features this art work will accompany this lot.
